Former store clerk gets probation in shooting death of teen

LAS VEGAS - A former Las Vegas valley store clerk who shot and killed a 13-year-old inside a smoke shop was sentenced Thursday.

Raad Sunna took a plea deal agreeing to a plead guilty to a gross misdemeanor of aiming a gun at a person in exchange for the open murder charge being dropped. He was sentenced to 364 days, but that was suspended and he was put on probation for up to three years.

The shooting happened in 2016. Sunna has been under house arrest for the past year. 

The teen was running away from the store when he was shot seven times. He had been caught trying to steal from the store.
