Man accused of killing girlfriend tells police 'I just cracked'

LAS VEGAS - A man accused of beating to death his girlfriend Saturday night told police he "couldn't take it anymore and was sorry for what he had done," according to his arrest report.

Willie Bain, 42, is facing a one count of murder with a deadly weapon in the death of Crystal Felipe, his girlfriend and the mother of his three children.

Bain called 9-1-1 around 11:22 p.m. Saturday from the parking lot of the Fiesta Hotel in Henderson. He told the dispatcher he had an argument with Felipe and said, "I beat her in the head. I don't know if she is alive," the report said.

Felipe was pronounced dead.

According to the report, police say Felipe was beaten at the couple's home in the garage. Bain told police he hit Felipe with a hammer because he was upset she was seeing other men.

Bain and Felipe's son did call family members after his parents left the home because he overheard them arguing and heard his mother scream. Those family members contacted police who were looking for Bain at the time he called 9-1-1, the report said.
